Aug. 23, 2016                       Parent & Student Informational Meeting – Tues. evening 7 – 8:30 pm

Sept. 2, 2016                        Student Registration forms due by Friday, Sept. 2 – turn into the Magsig office

Aug. 24 – Sept. 2 Students initial contact with event coaches.  Students must notify event coaches of their

                                                intent to participate in an event by contacting each event coach by e-mail.

Week of Sept. 12                 Some event practices will begin. Coaches will notify students who have emailed them.

Week of Oct. 3                     District Wide Science Olympiad Parent Meeting CHS, 7 pm, Date tbd

Oct. 21-22, 2016                  Centerville Science Olympiad Coaching Academy at Watts Middle School-Parent volunteers needed

Oct. 28, 2016                        Deadline for sign up for events for Intra-District Scrimmage

Nov. 20, 2016                      Intra-District Middle School Scrimmage, CHS, 1 – 7 pm

Nov. 30, 2016                      Coach Evaluations Due, evaluations will be used to limit the number of students in each event.

Dec. 14, 2016                       Mandatory* Student Team Meeting, Weds, 7 – 8 pm at Magsig, Back Cafeteria

Jan. 13, 2017                        Coaches Evaluations Due, evaluations will be used to make team selection through Regional

Jan. 16, 2017                        WSU Invitational Schedule Posted, permission forms available for WSU team members

Jan. 23, 2017                        Solon Invitational Schedule Posted, permission forms available for Solon team members

Jan. 25, 2017                        Team Meeting for those traveling to WSU, Wednesday, Magsig 7-8 pm

Jan. 28, 2017                        Wright State Univ. Invitational, Sat, 2 Magsig teams at Wright State Univ, all day

Feb. 1, 2017                          Team Meeting for those traveling to Solon, Wednesday, Magsig 7 – 8 pm

Feb. 3-4, 2017                      Solon Invitational, Fri. & Sat., 2 Magsig teams travel, two-day trip to Cleveland area

Feb. 8, 2017                          New Albany Schedule Posted, permission forms available

Feb. 22, 2017                       Team Meeting for those traveling to New Albany, Wednesday, Magsig 7-8 pm

Feb. 25, 2017                       New Albany Invitational, Sat, 2 Magsig teams travel to New Albany, all day

Feb. 27, 2017                       West Liberty Salem schedule Posted, permission forms available

Mar. 1, 2017                         Team Meeting for those traveling to WLS, Wednesday, Magsig 7-8 pm

Mar. 4, 2017                         West Liberty Salem Invitational, Saturday, 1 or 2 Magsig teams travel to WLSMS, all day

Mar. 6, 2017                         Regional Schedule Posted, permission forms available for Regional team members

Mar. 15, 2017                      Team Meeting for those traveling to Regional, Wednesday, Magsig 7-8 pm

Mar. 18, 2017                      Regional Tournament - Piqua, OH, Saturday, All day, 2 Magsig teams will compete

Mar. 20, 2017                      State Team Selection & Schedule Posted (approximately 20 students)

                                                Permission forms available for State travelers

Mar. 29, 2017                      Team Meeting for those traveling to State, Wednesday, Magsig 7-8 pm

Mar. 31-Apr. 1, 2017          State Tournament – The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH

Fri. & Sat., two-day trip, 1 Magsig team will compete (if we qualify)

May 19-20, 2017                 National Tournament –Wright State Univ., Dayton, OH (if we qualify)

  • If you cannot make a meeting it is your responsibility to notify Mrs. Chalker before the meeting.  And you are responsible for getting all handouts from others (not Mrs. Chalker) and find out all important information you missed. 

 

  • Additional Team meetings will be called occasionally throughout the year.  You should regularly check the calendar on the website and Daily check your e-mails.
